Room for a Voice

Gratitude List:
1. Yesterday I did a challenging thing, and it helped me to open a new space for my voice to live.
2. No school today.
3. The slant of springlike sun pouring down the fields.
4. The neighbors are removing their bamboo this morning, and it’s kind of exciting to watch. (I’m hoping all the little animals and birds are finding their way out quickly.) It gives us a chance to see how the digger works.
5. The quiet room of space between breaths.

May we walk in Beauty!

I am safe. It’s only change.

Gratitude List:
1. This song I found in my “stack of random papers,” one that I remember Tabea teaching me a few years ago: “Doors closing, doors opening.  Doors closing, doors I’m opening.  I am safe. It’s only change. I am safe.  It’s only change.”
2. In all  of my yesterday-celebration of teeny-tinies, I didn’t mention the monarch caterpillar on the bottom of a milkweed leaf, so small it was almost still just a dream.  But I think I felt it looking at me, asking what I am doing to make the world safe.
3. Also, the teeny-tiny snails that Joss kept stopping to pick up and place at the side of the trails so no one would step on them.
4. Pie!  Well, see, there were leftovers.  And tomorrow, still, there will be more pie leftover.  And this makes me happy.
5. This practice.  Sometimes I need it more than others.  Some days are sad or morose, some are angry or confused.  Often, my days are satisfying and comfortable, or busy but pleasant.  Today was a grumpy sort of day.  I grouched at and interfered with my children.  I made commands and demands.  I was not the most pleasant person to live with.  Not mean or shamefully spiteful.  Just a grouch.  Finding five things on a grouchy day is a challenge.  Fortunately, I had a little overflow from yesterday in #2 an #3.

Thank you for listening.  May we walk in Beauty!

Look For the Secret Message

<Prompt 21: Write a Secret Message Poem> It’s a little late, and I am a little tired, so this one is a little easy, I believe.  Reply to this post if you want me to crack the code for you.

You know what I mean. You
are waiting for the answer, but
a different question wants asking.  The
gift of the moment is the task you set,
The answer will come at the moment the
Universe deems you ready.  This
has its requirements: patience, a heart
given the urge to open, and a mind tuned
to curiosity.  You may discover the question
itself is the answer you seek.

Gratitude List:
1.  That Gratitude Lost was simply a typo, easily deleted.
2.  Two snails to befriend the fish.  The boys call them Cleaner One and Cleaner Two, though Joss first called them Basil and Wheatgrass for the plants that grow at the top of the tank, and I prefer those names.  How can it be so entertaining to watch snails?  It is.
3.  The meaning behind the meaning.
4.  No bad news.
5.  Big wide circles of prayer.

So much love.
